The Order Process

How it works:
If you have placed an order on our website, you will have been asked to fill out some basic vehicle details before you are able to check out. We encourage people to try and leave the paint name, or paint code information to speed up the process of your order. If you do not know, or cannot obtain the name or code information for your vehicle, don't worry, we can find this out for you via your registration plate. Either way, once your order is placed, it is added to a list and the process has begun.
Paint codes and paint name information:
If you do not leave your paint code or paint name information, we can obtain this ourselves, via the registration plate that you entered. This is done in various ways depending on the car manufacturer. This can often add 2-3 days processing time to an order, while we wait for the information to be sent back to us. If you need help locating the paint code on your car, we have made a useful database for each make and model, found here: Paint Codes – Paint Gear Products
How long will it take to receive my order?
If you are ordering paint from our store, we usually recommend allowing up to 5 working days to receive your order. Paint orders are not "off the shelf" products, so they do incur some extra processing time, compared to none paint orders. Once the paint is mixed and packed, it is then sent via a courier delivery service, which usually deliver within 48 hours.
Hand mixed and bespoke to your vehicle!
As mentioned above, your paint is not an "off the shelf" product. All the paint we supply is hand mixed and bespoke to your vehicle. Unlike other paint suppliers, we don't use generic colours, nor try and guess your paint details with "off the shelf" stock colours. There are over 100,000 different colour variations across all the manufacturers and brands.
How is the paint made?
Once we have the paint name or paint code information, we can enter it into our state of the art mixing software. Using around 60+ individual tints and colours, we can mix your paint formulation on our ultra accurate mixing scales. With many modern metallic finishes, there can be up to 15 different tints used to mix just one colour.
The next stage:
Once the paint has been mixed, we then decant it into our 50 ml product bottles. It is then sent away to our packing department, before being boxed up ready for shipping.
A Multi-stage Process:
To ensure that our customers get the bespoke paint they require, the ordering and manufacturing of the paint is a multi-stage process. All of our paint is individually hand mixed by our paint technicians and is of the highest quality. We put the time in, so you can enjoy the results!
